Works as described. In my pocket, on my desk. I followed the instructions and set it up and with the app always running (doesnt consume much power) it works flawlessly!

Im not a newbie. Ive used macs since 1980. This app just doesnt work. My MacBook Air gets locked on the password screen of the app and its over . I can knock on my phone with a hydraulic hammer and my Mac still needs the password. For my Mac Pro 2013 same deal. Something is wrong. I wasted $5 , then again trial and error. Ill wait for Apple solution with the fingerprint.

Does not work if the phone is asleep or locked. Application has to be open and running. Do not buy if you want this for phone only. I do not have a watch

I tried this product 2 or 3 years ago. It was a cool idea, but it did not work anyting like I needed it to or like it says it did. Plus I did not want to be knocking on my iPhone screen. Fast forward a few years later... I heard about this app again on a Applebyte. I throught, "well if it is still around it they must have fixed the issues that they had with it when I tried it years ago". NOPE! It still does not do what they show it can do in the video on the webpage and when my computter has been asleep for a while, it will show a cool color ring around my picture at login, but it wont do anything. I open the app on the phone and nothing I restart the app and.... thats right nothing. It just does not work. I heard that Apple was working on a similar function for the next MacOS. Just wait! Even the idea of Apple possibly working on a similar function is better than this app which already exist. I wasted a lot of time with Knoc, on more than one occasion and now I have to say "please do not even waste your time with this". Great idea, but horible execution.

After writing three times to the developers and receiving automated response I can only encourage you to stay away.

I love the concept overwise it would be cool if we could unlock our Mac while it is in sleep mode and if we could block it in the range of the bluetooth (I mean if were not in front of the computer and we forget to lock it). However I love the minimalist design and the concept. Well done

Not reliable at ALL. It works a few times then you have to setup again for it to start working. Furthermore being really really slow to activate I actually type the password ALL THE TIME so I end up never using it. Waste of money. Interaction is nice, better than just proximity as you can choose to unlock your mac. The problem is that it cannot unlock from screen saver nor from a sleeping mac. The video posted on the site makes you think otherwise. Furthermore it needs a few seconds to become active, so in actual fact is SLOWER than inserting a moderately long password.

This is a great way to maximise my workflow and not having to stumble at the login screen. I have a pretty long password, and when i mistake 5 times in a row it gets on my nerves! But this app solved the problem! Just knock and go! The only problem i had is that sometimes, i have to open the app on the iPhone so that my mac recognise the Bluetooth. But otherwise, it’s awesome!

Works as advertised for the unlocking tough if your Mac goes to login screen it does not work. The main problem - which is the opposite as what the app developer promises - : it drains your battery. If you are near the laptop it keeps a permanent BT connection which drains your battery faster than what they say... The geofencing would be it will try to connect if you are at home only. But if you spend most of your time in the fence it will drain quite fast. Over 1/2 day it drained 20% more than usual. Its a gadget nothing more. 4 usd wasted which with a trial version I would never have wasted.

Very useful ... When it works ! Sometimes the MacBook doesnt detect the iPhone anymore so you have to unlock your iPhone and launch knock app : slower than simply typing your password

This a great app. But it could be fantastic if we could unlock more than a unique computer, for exemple my MacBook and my iMac. Thanks.

Since Capitan update, app is no longer compatible with macbook air. useless.

my iPhone and Mac never could establish a connection. Ive already done all steps that I found on FAQ and nothing happens. I really think the app could be a great idea, but doesnt work!

Have an iMac 2013 and a 4S and it almost never works. Nice concept, but not quite there.
