Works Perfectly

So I was a bit uneasy when buying this app because of the misguiding comments, but after much research (YouTube,Google, etc) I finally had the nerve to buy the app. And I am not disappointed. This app really works as advertised, and it works while I use other apps on my phone, which I thought it was pretty neat. The setup with almost instant, and works when my iPhone is locked. Yes, it really does, however you have to Wake up the computer first, WAIT for the circle to fill up, THEN knock. Trust me, there really isnt any lag or wait time. Maybe just a second or two. But very useful app, I recommend it to those who have very long passwords.

Doesnt work most of the time

...but cool when it does. Usually on the macs unlock screen the green thing goes around and around as it tries to connect, when my phone is right there. iPhone 6; brand new MBP.

Bummer for now

MacBook Pro is from late 2014, iPhone 6+ and Apple Watch. It worked for a few days and then started disconnecting whenever the MBP was locked. Sort of defeats the purpose doesnt it. I reset all devices, then uninstalled and reinstalled and then went thru repairing and using iCloud and Keychain settings which had been altered. It tested fine. Then I locked it and went to the watch and iPhone - disconnected. Not ready for prime time.

The Knock app

It worked once on my Apple Watch and about five times on my iPhone 6 Plus and never again, no matter what I tried, from restarting everything to reloading everything. Now Im trying to get my money back.

Was great…

But stopped working. Then worked after an update, and shortly stopped after that. Really disappointed.

Very Dissapointing

I bought knock as everyone else did: heard about it, saw their ad, bought it. The thing is that Knock does not work the majority of the time - probably 1/5 times. I would definitely not recommend this product.

Works perfectly with Bluetooth 4.0

I set the program to wake up my MacBook with the fingerprint scanner on my iPhone. When I hit the power button on my laptop the login screen turns green after a second. My phone vibrates and a message appears on the phone. If the phone is unlocked you press "unlock". If the phone is locked you also need to unlock the phone with the fingerprint scanner. The laptop unlocks instantly.

Dont waste your money

Purchased and used for two days with iPhone and Apple Watch app. Rarely ever recognized the knock on the phone and the Apple Watch app was slower than me typing my password in about 3 seconds. Also, had instances where I was not able to access Mac desktop because the app was trying to knock and kept repeating my password over and over again without logging in. Bottom line, save yourself five bucks, wait until its free. This is just a novelty with no actual functionality or necessity.

Misleading video

Doesnt work even remotely as well as they make it out to in the video. So disappointed I spent $5 on this app that only complicated and adds steps to the login process. Ugh.

Does not work

Its a cool idea and would be great if it worked, but it does not. At all. Dont waste your money on it.

Waste of money

Lot of money for something that doesnt work. First install kinda works but quickly gets slower and slower response and then no response at all. I can type my password faster than to wait to it to recognize the laptop. This wouldnt be so bad if it were free.

Ok. It worked after a glitch

I downloaded it on my iPhone 6S and went on to download it on my iMac (21.5/inch, Mid 2014) OS X El Capitan. The App downloaded immediately from the web site, but it wont keep the window up after I clicked on download. I tried it maybe five times, but every time I see the window pop up with a photo of iPhone, with a black backdrop, it disappeared. Finally, I just rebooted my computer, and then, it stayed open and I was able to have them connected. Well, other than that initial hiccup , it seems to work and do what it said to do. Thanks.

Follow The Instructions… and It’s Great!

Like others here, I was apprehensive about buying this based on the reviews… but I read reviews that said.. “follow the instructions and you’ll have no problems”… and they were right. I have a 2012 Mac Mini, iPhone 6+, and Watch Sport, all running the latest software versions available as of this writing. It works PERFECTLY. Yes.. you have to wake your Mac up first if it’s asleep.. press a key, wiggle the mouse, smack the magic trackpad, whatever. Then I literally pick my phone up and knock on it twice like I’m knocking on a door.. without even waking the phone up. BUT- when I leave my phone in the other room and I’m wearing my Watch, I can just raise my wrist, swipe up to reveal the Knock Glance, tap, and it unlocks my Mac! It even shows the status of my Mac.. locked or unlocked. It may sound like a lot but it’s honestly twice as fast as typing in my password each time. AND I can LOCK my Mac while I’m ‘Netflix-ing and Chilling’ in the living room. Highly recommended. Excellent app.

Good idea, poor functionality - Refund Requested

I took a chance after focusing on the positive reviews. I regret that decision. I have submitted a refund request through the App Store as you should do for non-functional apps. Works when first set up. Next day it won’t connect. Had to restart both my iPhone 6 and 2015 MacBook Pro to get it to reconnect. When it worked, it was great! Not worth the risk. Skip this app until it works reliably.

Most innovative app ever

I have my MacBook Pro 15 late 2011, with the newer airport card, and running the Continuity Activation Tool to gain Bluetooth 4.0. With it being linked to my iPhone 5, sometimes the notification to unlock my Mac appears and the knock action works even when the app is closed. Awesome!!! This app really helps when you are too lazy to type in your password all the time

Terrible

How can they sell an app that simply does not work 95% of the time in good conscience? How do I get a refund?

Usually works

The Mac has to be awoken from sleep (small hassle) and the phone does not always connect with the Mac, but usually works.

Doesnt work

I have a mid 2012 rMBP and a iPhone 6s Plus. Doesnt work at all. What a waste of 5 dollars.

Dont waste time or $ on this

Installed and uninstalled a dozen times - worked once and then nothing. Tried on 3 different set ups - from MacBook to iMac. Even on iWatch. Just not reliable - dont bother.

Waste of money!!!

It only works when the app is open and that too when your mac is on[that is when your mac is not sleeping]. $4.99 is hell waste of your money for this app which is not doing anything extra than other free apps with same features.
