Knock – unlock your Mac without a password using your iPhone and Apple Watch App Reviews

Almost never works as expected, it messes up the login screen. It sounds like a good idea, but the experience is awful.

I was also skeptical after some of the negative reviews, but it works great! Using with iPhone 6, Apple Watch, and MacBook Pro.

This app works phenomenally well! I cant believe the other reviews are so low works flawlessly for me.

I had it working intermittently for one day, and then it decided to stop working.

Decent app, works better than most. Plus its pretty unique, Ive tried making knocking noises or tapping on my phone, only a real knock on the phone will do it. You should link this app to chrome or other browsers, that way you can store logins and use Knock to sign in. Just a thought!

I purchased the app. Not satisfied. The idea is great. But they presented it much easier and functional. I you havent been around your Mac and it fell asleep. You have to wake up Mac, get your iPhone, open the app and the question is if you can unlock it. Even if you can unlock it, for amount of time that it gets to unlock your Mac, you can write a password on MacBook and open it much quicker. (the guy showed it, while in pocket you knock your iPhone) It never works that way. Wasted $4.99.

Doesnt work for my phone or my watch Refund PLEASE!!! I have followed directions to a T and it does not work Angry consumer!!!

Works exactly as advertised. Setup was simple. While its not as great as having Touch ID on my MacBook, its pretty close!

Following the latest Mac update, the Mac app doesnt sync with the phone at launch. Have to close it and reopen it for it to work. Please fix.

Like the title says. It worked just like they said but by the time my phone and Mac syncs I could of typed the password in

It’s delightful to set a short time out on my classroom computer and be able to hit the shift key, knock on my pocket, and be ready to go. I feel that I won’t get distracted and allow students to pry or make mischief now.

What an excellent app. Seriously, it feels like the future when using it. Sure, sometimes it takes a little while for it to connect, but there’s really not much Knock can do about that. Contact the developer if you’re having issues and he’ll help you out. Certainly did for me! Highly recommended.
