Just not consistent

I bought this app when it first came out a while ago, used it for a few days, and then gave up because it was wildly inconsistent. Oddly, it seemed to work well for the first day or so, and then the performance just went downhill: most times, I could unlock my Mac by typing my password a lot faster than I could unlock my Mac with Knock

Given that the developers say theyve improved things, I decided to give it another go. Just like last time, it worked well initially, and then it just stopped working consistently, even though my devices are definitely paired. It makes no sense at all to have to knock 10 or 15 times to unlock my Mac, when I can simply type my Password in far less time.

I see Im not the only person reporting that the app starts by working well, and then degrades; surely the developers can recognise some kind of pattern in these reports and get to the bottom of that.
